| Description | Letter from Cardiff County Council to members of Grangetown Community Concern asking for the group to participate in the upcoming Lord Mayor's Parade, organised by Cardiff Junior Chamber. The parade was an annual event that gathered together voluntary organisations, charity groups, and civic leaders and companies to demonstrate a "visual celebration of the pride and passion of the Welsh Capital and its people." The letter asks if Grangetown Community Concern would like to enter the parade by creating a float. The parade's theme for 1997 is 'Party Time'. Grangetown Community Concern is a volunteer organisation located in Cardiff, which helps to raise funds, publishes a community newspaper, runs toy drives, puts on public events, and sponsors a 'meals-on-legs' programme in the area. The organisation was established in 1977 and is a registered charity. It was renamed Grangetown Community Action in 2016. They have been located at the Grangetown Library since 2006 and are active in the community today.
