A letter, seeking 'some better preferment' than his present vicarage in Yorkshire, suggesting Mandfield [Manfield, Yorkshire] near Richmond [Yorkshire], and providing the name of the 'present Lord Chancellor' [Baron Parker], and Lord Cooper [?Cowper] as a referee. Tave recalls that he was formerly chaplain to the recipient's father when he was in Holland [Netherlands]. |
